Oral Pathology is the specialty of dentistry and the discipline of pathology that deals with the nature, identification, and management of diseases affecting the oral and surrounding regions.

At every examination or recall appointment, Dr. Kim and Dr. Bouma will perform a thorough intra-oral and extra-oral head and neck examination to screen for any pathologies. This also includes any pathologies detectable on radiographs.

Early diagnosis can drastically decrease mortality and increase treatment success. Our dentists will look for any lumps and bumps or any changes to the soft tissue inside the mouth that may look suspicious.
