My name is Abbie and I’ve been dedicated to the dental field for over 30 years, and my passion for my role as a dental hygienist is as strong as ever. Born and raised in Ontario, I moved to Alberta in 2012 with my family after my husband retired from the Canadian Military. My path in dentistry feels like it was meant to be—my parents often tell stories of how I was fascinated by the field as a child, including the time I dressed up as “Murphy the Molar,” the Ontario Dental Association’s mascot, for Halloween when I was eight.
The part of my job I enjoy most is helping patients achieve optimal oral health while making their dental visits both educational and fun. I believe in the power of knowledge and am committed to providing personalized care with plenty of laughter along the way.
I have spent most of my life in Minnesota and am fairly new to Calgary! I have a history of practicing dental hygiene in Minnesota, so when I moved here I wanted to stay in the dental field as oral hygiene and health is a passion of mine. It has been great to find Pathways as they have such a high standard for patient care!
Outside of the office I enjoy cooking, playing games, and puzzling! I spend a lot of time watching hockey and hanging out with my dog (as a golden retriever he required LOTS of attention- which I am happy to give). We have been loving all the great walking/hiking spots and proximity to the mountains!
